If you would like to discuss a yoga & meditation course with me, please get in touch at info@nrgiie.com.
I first stumbled into a yoga class in 2010, with a sense it would support my journey toward more well-being. Many sedentary years in front of computer screens in the corporate world prior to this period, along with a lack of aerobic exercise, guided my decision.
I cannot underestimate the intrinsic benefit from that first class onwards. My breathing, posture and proprioception improved considerably. I soon asked my yoga teacher whether he might be able to offer me a weekly private class.
After a couple of years of practice, I opted to train as a yoga teacher myself, with the sense that there could be no better way to evolve my yoga journey than by taking an intensive teacher training course.
I undertook a full-time 200 hour Sivananda Hatha Yoga course in the Austrian mountains from 2012-2013, the fresh Alpine air offering lasting health benefits. Meditation formed part of the daily yoga practice.
I formalised my meditation teacher training at the Karuna Institute in Devon in 2015 via a Tibetan practice known as Kum Nye. The qualification required me to spend 6 separate weeks in Noble Silence.
I find the magic of yoga is the way it connects the breath to body to bring more mindful attention to our place in space. Meditation has made me more grounded, resilient and awake: I have learned to remain still, knowing storms will pass so I am not as impulsive when they arise.
The inter-correlative relationship between coaching, yoga and mediation is of special interest to me given my training in all three of these areas. I have often found coaching clients would benefit from yoga and meditation and vice versa.
Whilst offering separate coaching and yoga and mediation programmes, I am starting to develop a bespoke one to give my clients who need a holistic wellbeing experience that responds to issues that be cannot tackled independently.
